ABOUT ORONDO SCHOOL DISTRICT

WELCOME TO ORONDO!

Nestled along the Columbia River in Douglas County, Washington, Orondo School District serves students from preschool through 8th grade in a close-knit, rural setting. With approximately 130 students and a low student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1, we provide personalized learning experiences that foster academic growth and community connection.

Our district is committed to nurturing the whole child through a variety of programs, including:

Preschool and Early Childhood Education
Title I Academic Support
Highly Capable Services
21st Century Community Learning Center – offering after-school and Friday enrichment programs
English Language Learner (ELL) Support
Special Education Services

As a "non-high" district, we collaborate with neighboring high schools in Chelan, Waterville, and Eastmont to ensure our students have continued access to quality education beyond 8th grade. Orondo buses provide transportation to transfer points to meet our neighboring district buses.

At Orondo, we believe in empowering every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We invite you to explore our school community and discover the opportunities that await.

OSPI REPORT CARD

Orondo Elementary and Middle School staff are committed to the success of our school and providing a quality education for each of our students. Our Student and School Success Action Plan addresses next steps in improving learning outcomes for students. We closely monitor and support each student's academic progress.

We encourage parents to stay in touch with their child's educational program and to extend and support learning in the home. Parents are always welcome at our school. We will offer multiple opportunities for parents to become acquainted with our new curriculum and to learn about ways to help your child succeed.

Using the OSPI Report Card tool, you can see how students at Orondo School District perform on the state test, the number of students enrolled, the race and ethnicity of the students and educators in the school community, and much more.
